Head Coach & founder

Alek Đurić

Alek Đurić founded High Performance Tennis and runs it as head coach. He coaches himself – from a child's first session with red balls to competition preparation at performance level.

His qualifications cover exactly that range: as a state-certified ÖTV tennis teacher he is qualified to run a tennis school and to coach competitive players; as a WTV Kidscoach and a coach for the U10–U16 age groups, to work with children and juniors in an age-appropriate way. On top of that come the international PTR PRO certification and the A Level of the GPTCA, whose coaching qualification is certified by the ATP.

Under his leadership, High Performance Tennis is an official partner school of the state coaching qualification at the Bundessportakademie Vienna.

  • Tarik Mustafič, tennis coach, mid-stroke with his racket raised on the clay court

    Tennis Coach & ÖTV Instructor

    Tarik Mustafič

Tarik Mustafič has played tennis since the age of nine; from twelve he trained with Alek Đurić at performance level. He has been coaching in the team himself since 2022.

As an ÖTV instructor he coaches children, juniors and adults. His focus is technique – clean execution – and, depending on the level of play, strategy. What matters to him is that players enjoy their time on court and take something away that they put into practice in the next session.

He has played for several Vienna clubs, including Tenniszentrum Arsenal, First Vienna Club and WAT Landstraße: two years for Hakoah in Landesliga A and currently for WAT Landstraße in Landesliga B. He coaches in German, English and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian.

  • Almir Damadzic, tennis coach, smiling in the indoor hall

Tennis Coach & ITF Level 1

    Almir Damadzic

Almir Damadzic has played tennis since the age of six and has been active in the sport for more than 30 years. He has been coaching players for over 15 years.

He has added theory to his practice on court: with a master's degree programme at the Faculty of Kinesiology, where he also worked as an assistant for more than five years. On top of that comes the official ITF Level 1 coaching licence of the International Tennis Federation.

He coaches in German, English, Spanish and Croatian/Serbian/Bosnian.

As a qualified Kidscoach, he most enjoys working with children. What matters to him is fun, progress and enjoyment.

Jonas grew up in Vienna, has Bosnian roots and is studying mathematics. He coaches in German, English and Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian.
